Inspiration for your Hazelnut Backpack

Make your own Hazelnut backpack and be inspired

Are you looking for some inspiration for your Hazelnut Backpack sewing pattern? You've come to the right place :) Thanks to our amazing team of testers, we have made this pattern better for everyone. The design has changed along the testing process and now it comes with more options than ever.

Below, you will find all the versions the testers have sewn using different materials, opting for different sizes and playing with all the alternatives available.

Are you ready? Let's start!

Irene's Bat-pack

Irene is one of our regular Spanish testers and she went for this amazing! version of Hazelnut. I love the fabrics she chose and also how she opted for a contrast flap. Apart from that, she added an extra 'anti-theft' pocket to the back piece of the outer fabric of the backpack. This one goes against her back, so it is perfect to keep your phone or wallet safe.

She also went for normal webbing straps instead of padded ones and she included a top zip and the laptop compartment.

Sue's retro Hazelnut

Lovely Sue always makes the most amazing versions of any pattern. She is not afraid of using big, bold and colourful prints that always work so well! In this case, she opted for a retro-style print and some gold notes. Her version doesn't have a top zip and she chose to have padded straps. All options are included in the pattern and you can mix them up as you please.

Bàrbara is travelling the world

What can I say about beautiful Bàrbara? Another of my favourite Spanish testers and someone who always gives her everything every time she tests for CocoWawa. She has come up with lots of great additions and changes to the design, like the added back webbing to hold the straps in place, so the backpack hangs also better when worn.

Take a look at her amazing version.

Leopard print version

The lovely Virginia has opted for a really cool version using this leopard print fabric and the Mini size. I love the straps she chose and also the patch she added in the flap. Last, she opted for snaps and a contrast lining in a vibrant green.

All about the glitter!

Wow! I looove this version made by the lovely Louise from Cut One Pair. Look at that fabric! I believe it is a raincoat fabric that she actually used to make a raincoat some time ago.

As she had some leftovers, she used them to make this amazing version of Hazelnut. I also particularly like the straps in this contrast mint colour. Super cute!

The cutest mini version!

Lovely Atia has made this super cute version of the backpack for her little girl. The fabrics she chose are so pretty! And she also mixed and match so she could use some of her scraps. Such a great idea!
