Welcome sewing lovers!

Hi! I have decided to start this new adventure writing about my last sewing project that I shared some days ago on Instagram. Even though that since I started this new business venture I haven’t had the time to sit in front of my sewing machine, I tried to choose an easy project to keep my needles up to date :)

With sewing, I think it is very important to keep practicing, trying different patterns and embrace new challenges. This time I chose a dress from one of these lovely Japanese books that I bought at Foyles. They are published by Laurence King Publishing (you can check their website to discover more titles) and they are absolutely beautiful. The dresses, skirts, pants and blouses have all a romantic look, perfect for Summer and to combine with turtle neck t-shirts and tights in Winter.

The only weak point that I would highlight is that the instructions for every project are quite brief, so it may not be the best option for absolute beginners, although it is a relatively easy sewing project.

Another difficult moment for me came when copying the pattern onto the pattern paper because all the projects are printed on only two pages. OMG! It was quite hard finding and following the correct lines! You can see here why.

Well, in the end I managed to finish it and I am quite glad with the way it looks, right? It is simple, cute and super comfy!

I think these kind of dresses are perfect if you want to step into dressmaking. The next day I will show you another easy pattern for an A circle skirt, one of my favourites ever!

Hope you liked the post!

Happy sewing and knitting!
