Get to know who's behind CocoWawa

Hi! I am Ana, the woman in the picture below ;) I am a pattern designer and teacher and the sole owner (and member of staff!) at CocoWawa Crafts, an independent online sewing and quilting pattern company. I studied 'Pattern cutting for womens wear' and 'Professional Sewing Techniques' at the London College of Fashion. I have been teaching sewing and quilting since 2018 and now I am based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

You can learn how to make your own clothes with my easy-to-follow beginner garment patterns. They are perfect to build up your techniques from sewing with jersey to creating a button placket or a dress with a lovely ruffle on the sleeve. The CocoWawa Crafts patterns work all year around depending on the fabric you choose. They feature comfy designs and geometric shapes with a sweet aesthetic and cute distinctive details. Simple and nice patterns for all sewing levels.

Apart from dressmaking patterns, I also design modern quilting patterns, perfect for beginners and for those makers wanting to learn how to quilt.

Our sewing and quilting patterns are available as digital downloadable PDFs to either print-at-home, using the A4 option, or to take to a copy-shop place, for the A0 version (only available for garments as it is not necessary for quilting).

Teaching and workshops

I am specialized in teaching garment making, beginners courses, mending and fitting and quilting workshops. You can find me at The Sewing Club in Utrecht, Schone Stoffen in Haarlem and Atelier Kleurstof in Leiden. I also offer private in-person classes in Amsterdam.
